TIWA SAVAGE

Tiwa Savage's name has been associated with the Nigerian afrobeats scene for over a decade. Her collaboration with Fantasia on the song Collard Greens & Cornbread earned her a Grammy nomination in 2010. Although she enjoys writing for other artists, she finds writing for herself more rewarding.

To celebrate the anniversary of Nigeria’s independence, she recorded a performance of Arise, O Compatriots.

In July 2013, she released her first studio album, Once Upon a Time. There are guests like Don Jazzy, Flavor N'abania, Leo Wonder, Sarkodie, General Pype and Iceberg Slim.

Savage's second studio album, R.E.D, was released on December 19, 2015, including the singles My Darlin, African Waist and If I Start To Talk. She sings in English and Yoruba.
