The unmissable dancehall star nicknamed the "Gully God" began his career in 2004 with the "real Mc Koy" who revealed him.

Since then, Mavado has branded all the riddims he poses on, delivering big tune on big tune. His first album titled "Gangsta For Life: The Symphony of David Brooks" was released in 2007. It brings together many of the songs that made riddims all the rage, as well as other good songs like "Sadness", "Gangta for life", "Gully Side" ...

He started 2008 with the unforgettable "I’m On The Rock" on Mission Riddim, a real hit remixed several times, notably with American artist Jay-Z. The same year, he won the famous MOBO Award for best reggae artist, and Americans are increasingly interested in him. While his title "I’m So Special" is a hit.

In 2009, he continued his momentum and released the album "Mr Brooks: A Better Tomorrow" on which we find his hits of the moment.

His single "Delilah" released in 2011 is a hit in the United States, and he made several collaborations with great American rappers.

In 2013, he drives home the point of hits with a featuring with superstar Nicki Minaj, "Give It All To Me", and also returns in force on the Jamaican riddims.
