J Balvin enjoyed worldwide success in the summer of 2017 with the single, "Mi Gente" which became a global hit.
In 2012 he released the single "6 AM", in duet with artist Farruko. It was a huge success in the United States, where it reached 2nd place on the Billboard Latin Songs charts and in Latin America. The title even spread to Europe.
J Balvin took advantage of his success to release a new title in the United States, “Ay Vamos”, which established his reputation as the little prince of reggaeton. The music video for "Ay Vamos" is now close to one billion views on YouTube.
His song is then remixed, with Nicki Minaj and French Montana, and appears on the soundtrack of "Fast & Furious 7".
In 2015, J Balvin was nominated less than 13 times at the Billboard Latin Music Awards. He notably won the award for Best New Artist of the Year.
2016 is an equally prolific year for J Balvin. He unveils his hit "Ginza", which meets with immense success there again.
On June 3, he released his fourth album, "Energia". It includes the hit "Safari", in duet with Pharrell Williams, BIA and Sky. The clip, released on September 2, is a hit on the web, being viewed over 70 million times in just over a month.
Not only is this 4th opus a commercial success, but also a critical one. "Energia" is ranked fourth in the Best Latin Albums of 2016, the top of the prestigious Rolling Stone magazine.
Once again, success is there. J Balvin enjoyed worldwide success in the summer of 2017 with the single, "Mi Gente" which became a global hit with 3 billion views on Youtube. He was then nominated with Willy William (as a duet on this hit) in the “International Group / Duo of the Year” category at the NRJ Music Awards 2017.
J Balvin released in January 2018 his new single, "Machika", then "X", with Nicky Jam, song with a clip that exceeds 1.9 billion views on YouTube.
He is even one of the most listened to artists of the summer of 2018 thanks to the track "I Like It" in collaboration with Cardi B.
At the end of 2019, he made his big solo comeback with the song "Blanco". This is the opportunity to announce his new album, "Colores", released in March 2020. Originality: the titles of the disc all bear the name of a color ("Azul", "Rosa", "Rojo",… ). J Balvin also unveils a collaboration with Dua Lipa, Tainy and Bad Bunny for the song "Un Dia (One Day)".
