Gyptian is propelled on the front of the scene thanks to his two hits, "Is There A Place" on the now legendary Season Riddim, and especially "Serious Times", absolute hit of the year 2005 in Jamaica.

His first album "My Name Is Gyptian" was released in 2006. He will continue to release songs that will all meet with good success: "Beautiful Lady", "Mama Don't Cry", or even "I Can Feel Your Pain" which will appear on the album of the same name in 2008.

If Gyptian had positioned himself so far as a reggae artist, sometimes conscious and sometimes lover, his career will gradually take a whole new turn. In 2010, his hit "Hold You" was a dancehall track tinged with RnB which became a huge worldwide success. The track will even have an official remix with rapper Nicki Minaj, which will remain ranked for more than 29 weeks on the Billboard. The same year he released his third album on VP Records, "Hold You".

At the end of 2013, the title of his fourth album, "Sex, Love & Reggae" shows the artist in an even more crossover register.
