In less than a decade, Busy Signal has established itself as a go-to star. Terribly talented, he skilfully juggles between dancehall and reggae, marking Jamaican music with a hot iron, from hit to hit.
A talented artist, Busy Signal is above all passionate about music. He listens to very varied styles of music and this rich culture is reflected in his work: never short of ideas and inspiration, we have heard him equally well on Latin, Soca, African, hip-hop tunes ... He is also an excellent lyricist.
He started to make a name for himself on the Jamaican scene in 2003, but it was in 2005 that he really exploded with “Step Out”, the absolute hit of that year, a staple of the charts and clubs for quite a while.
His first album “Step Out” was released in 2006 and was a huge success. Ranked in the charts and crowned Best Reggae Album, he also won the Web Reggae Awards 2006. It includes the title that made him discover “Born & Grow”, the hit “Step out”, the excellent “Not going down” posed for Renaissance on the Icebreaker Riddim, as well as featurings with Bounty Killer, Alaine, and especially the two legendary duets with his friend Mavado,“ Badman Place ”and“ Full Clip ”on the Anger Management.
No downtime for Busy who then ignites all the big dancehall scenes, with a very energetic stage performance, and connects the big tunes on all the riddims of the moment. The growing success of Busy Signal is of course due to his talent, but above all to his work.
His second album "Loaded" was released in 2008 and contained the hits "Wine Pon Di Edge", "The Days" and "Jail". He will release yet another album "DOB", in 2010. At the beginning of 2012, Busy Signal unveils a new facet of his immense talent with the album "Reggae Music Again" (on which we find the hit "Come Over ») And is definitely establishing himself as one of the best artists of his generation
He then appeared on Major Lazer's single “Watch Out For This”, a global hit.
